Sustainability Description
For us it is not only important to send money to Indonesia for educational purposes through product sales, but also to offer sustainable products. An important step is to not take new resources for synthetic fiber products, but to work with existing plastic and to upcycle it. In addition, we want to sustainably and long-term draw more attention to the issue of ocean plastic and sensitize as many people as possible to it.
Material properties
Our caps are mainly made of GRS certified PET bottles. The fabric is made of 100% recycled PET and makes up between 68% and 71% of the total weight, depending on the cap model. The inside of the visor is made of 100% recycled PE. Depending on the cap model, there is either a metal buckle or a snapback closure made of conventional PE.
The snapback closure is currently not yet recyclable, because it would become brittle. However, we are constantly informing ourselves and will try to offer a 100% recycled product as soon as this is possible. Now every cap is at least 96% recycled plastic.

The product has no dents, scratches or signs of wear visible from a distance of 30cm - neither on the body nor on the display.
Very Good (B-grading)
These MANTAHARI Oceancare - Sea Weed Snapback Cap Recycled may have minimal dents, scratches or wear on the body that can be seen from 30cm away. There may be micro-scratches on the display/screen, but these are not visible when the display is on.
Good (C-Grading)
These MANTAHARI Oceancare - Sea Weed Snapback Cap Recycled have visible signs of use such as scratches and/or dents on the body. There may be micro-scratches on the display/screen, but these are not visible when the display is switched on
Examples are:
- The device can no longer be switched on.

The battery is also covered by the warranty. A distinction is made between wear and tear and technical defects. Technical defects are covered by the warranty and are characterised by abnormal behaviour. Abnormal behaviour could be, for example, that the device can only be charged up to 40%.
