The second generation refurbed Apple AirPods are only modified in minor details. With the original model, Apple had already built close to the optimum, so they were able to concentrate on enhancing small features.
Slightly improved sound
Apple has marginally improved the audio quality for music, so the second generation AirPods sound more responsive and more sharp. The larger change comes in the form of enhanced voice reproduction, making them ideal for audio books and - of course - phone calls. Also, voice control now works without tapping the AirPods: simply say “Hey Siri” since the intelligent assistant remains activated.
Depending on your choice: Wireless can be extra wireless
Both generations of refurbed AirPods have wireless headphones - of course - which are placed in the charging case to be charged for up to 5 hours of music playback. But while the first generation case needed a lightning cable to charge, the second generation AirPods come with a wireless, Qi-enabled charging case. So you can go without wires entirely. Together with the case the AirPods can reach of up to 24 hours of playback.
